The division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Western Ontario provides clinical care to patients with endocrine disorders such as diabetes mellitus, thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal disorders. In addition, disorders of calcium and lipid metabolism, are treated by consultants in the division. Patients from London and the Southwestern Ontario region are seen on referral by a family physician.

Education of patients with diabetes mellitus is coordinated through the Diabetes Education Centre.

The division of Endocrinology and Metabolism provides training to undergraduate medical students and other allied health professionals.

Our postgraduate education program in Endocrinology and Metabolism provides training for those individuals interested in an academic and/or clinical career in Endocrinology and Metabolism.

Many members of our division participate in research. Clinical trials in diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, and other lipid disorders are ongoing.
